Daily Rounds of Thunderstorms in Forecast
Associated Press
Slow-moving afternoon showers and thunderstorms should pop up over New Mexico during the next few days, the National Weather Service said.
A cold front will try to move into far northeastern New Mexico Thursday, and thunderstorms along the front might become severe.
The number of thunderstorms should slightly decrease each day through this weekend.
Showers and thunderstorms persisted Tuesday night. Dripping Springs, east of Las Cruces, received 1.27 inches of rain in about an hour, and Holloman Air Force Base received 0.58 of an inch.
Low temperatures before sunrise today ranged from the 40s over the mountains to the 60s across the lowlands.
High temperatures Tuesday ranged from 71 degrees at Cloudcroft to 95 degrees at Farmington.
