Camper and Hiker Assaulted

  Santa Fe authorities on Wednesday were investigating two separate attacks on outdoor recreationists that took place north of Santa Fe. The Sheriff's Dept. is trying to track down assailants who robbed and used a shotgun to strike a 24-year-old man in the back of the head.

  Santa Fe-based Thornburg Mortgage, which has been struggling to stay afloat over the last year, said Wednesday morning it was unable to make a $12.2 million interest payment this week because it doesn't have the money.

Glass Trail Will End in Santa Fe

Brett Hart was emptying the contents of his trunk into a big yellow bin along Edith NE in Albuquerque, creating a singsong of shattering glass with each bottle he tossed.
